Job Description
Senior full-stack engineer building scalable cloud software for Ren. Leading TypeScript/React development, architecture, testing, AI-assisted engineering, and mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant features using TypeScript and React
- Modify database objects using SQL, including stored procedures, views, and tables
- Act as a technical advisor and thought leader for high-impact initiatives
- Lead architectural discussions and contribute to scalable, maintainable, and performant system design
- Solve highly complex technical problems
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests
- Drive improvements in engineering practices, standards, and methodologies
- Refactor and optimize systems for efficiency, maintainability, and performance
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and reliability standards
- Communicate complex technical concepts across teams and translate them into business value
- Partner with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
- Build cross-functional relationships and contribute to organizational initiatives
- Mentor engineers, guide design decisions, and elevate team capabilities through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Foster continuous learning and improvement
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity and accelerate delivery
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI into products, engineering workflows, and operational processes
- Use AI responsibly while ensuring quality, security, and ethical standards
- Evaluate and adopt emerging tools and technologies to improve team efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of backend development experience with TypeScript or equivalent
- 5+ years of frontend development experience with React
- Experience building scalable cloud applications, microservices, GraphQL, and REST APIs
- AWS experience including EC2, S3, and Lambda
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, and system design
- Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies and CI/CD practices
- Experience with automated testing and test-driven development
