Job Description
Data engineering software engineer building pipelines, models, and analytics solutions for Genesys’ AI-powered customer experience platform. Supporting enterprise customers and collaborating with global data science and engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with business customers to gather and understand requirements
- Interface with customer and Genesys data science teams on discovery, extraction, loading, data transformation, and analysis of results
- Define and utilize data intuition processes to cleanse and verify customer and Genesys data integrity
- Implement, own, and improve data pipelines using data modeling and ETL/ELT best practices
- Build, improve, and optimize high-quality models
- Work with Professional Services and Engineering to deliver customer requirements and report customer feedback, issues, and feature requests
- Continuously improve reporting, analysis, and overall processes
- Visualize, present, and demonstrate findings
- Perform knowledge transfer to customer and internal teams
- Communicate within the global community across cultural, language, and time-zone variations
- Adjust working hours to match customer and team interactions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering
- Good working knowledge of a programming language such as Java, NodeJS, or Python
- Application development background using contact center product suites such as Genesys, Avaya, or Cisco is an added advantage
- Expertise with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT development
- Proficiency with REST API, JSON, and AWS
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and real-time analytics solution development
- Experience delivering projects independently
- Ability to multitask and context switch between projects and tasks
- Curiosity, passion, and drive for data queries, analysis, quality, and models
- Excellent communication, initiative, coordination, and attention to detail
- Ability to explain complex topics to experts and business leaders
- Willingness to work until 11 PM IST
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Node.JS, or Python
- Hands-on AWS application development experience, including Lambda, ECS Fargate, EKS, Docker, and SQS
