Job Description

Sr. Substation Project Engineer managing renewable generation substation projects from conception to commissioning. Leading engineering teams and conducting project tracking with client communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
  • Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Identify challenges, measures, and validate results, and implements solutions.
  • Provide information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues.
  • Competitively source, select and contracting geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services, and supporting the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.

Requirements:

  • Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural engineering
  • 6+ years' experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects
  • Project Engineering or Project Management experience
  • PMP or P.E. in related discipline is helpful
  • Some travel required within North America
