Job Description

Senior Territory Manager growing Branch’s independent-agency insurance business across a defined territory. Driving production, agency adoption, field relationships, and quality quoting.

Responsibilities:

  • Own a defined state or set of states and grow business volume and quality from independent agencies
  • Carry and achieve production targets for bound premium and policy count
  • Build, segment, and manage a target agency list and territory plan
  • Maintain pipeline visibility into appointed agencies, quoting trends, and bound premium
  • Conduct in-person agency visits, lunch-and-learns, and local events
  • Secure specific production commitments from priority agencies
  • Present Branch’s value proposition, appetite, and differentiators
  • Educate agencies on ideal risk profiles to improve binding, retention, and performance
  • Train agency stakeholders to use Branch’s quoting platform before comparative raters
  • Activate, retain, and re-engage producing agencies
  • Address agency and shopper objections
  • Report competitive intelligence, pricing friction, and product gaps to Branch
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Underwriting, and Operations to resolve territory barriers
  • Report to the Director, Territory Management

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a quota- or target-carrying field sales role owning a defined geography or book of business
  • Independent agency distribution, territory/field sales, SaaS sales, or comparable business development experience preferred
  • Demonstrated accountability to a specific production number
  • Experience influencing independent professionals without relying on authority
  • Existing relationships with independent agencies in assigned state(s) helpful
  • Comfort and experience managing a high-travel, self-directed field schedule
  • Strong in-person presentation and group training skills
  • Consultative selling ability to diagnose production barriers and opportunities
  • Ability to learn and teach a technical, regulated product
  • P&C insurance experience preferred but not required
  • Command of underwriting appetite, rating, and agency workflow expected in the first quarter
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Ability to travel 50–70% within the territory
