Job Description
Senior Test Engineer defining testing strategies and automating quality assessments for software serving European institutions. Remote within the EU, collaborating with development and client IT teams.
Responsibilities:
- Define the scope of testing for each product and release by collaborating with Test Engineers, defining test approaches, and reviewing and writing test scenarios
- Plan test activities, follow up on progress and approach, ensure priority alignment within the team, and drive alignment on environments and tools
- Assess product quality by reviewing requirements and design documentation and creating test scenarios, test cases, and test data, including test automation
- Run product quality assessments through test execution and outcome reporting
- Continuously assess and improve product quality, requirements, and the testing approach
- Apply test analysis and test automation patterns to ensure requirement coverage and fast, reliable test execution
- Integrate into the Development team and closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team
Requirements:
- University degree in IT combined with at least 7 years of relevant IT professional experience
- Hands-on experience creating efficient test approaches, test planning, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution
- Experience with API testing using Postman, Kreya, or similar tools
- Experience using databases and SQL, containerized solutions, and observability tools
- Experience writing and editing automated tests
- Experience with system integration testing
- Excellent knowledge of testing standards and methods
- Defect management, including defect prioritization and root cause analysis
- Experience with complex enterprise system integration
- End User (UAT) management experience
- Experience with test and defect management tools
- Experience with agile software development and testing methodologies
- Ability to understand business context, define priorities, communicate with technology-focused teams, and communicate test campaign outcomes
- Excellent command of English
