Job Description

Temporary Senior Vice President responsible for integrated client communications and account team leadership. Seeking experienced professional to navigate complex business challenges in healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Think strategically across a variety of platforms, channels, and audiences to deliver integrated communications solutions
  • Consistently identify the business challenges clients are looking to solve and ensure those objectives are clearly understood by the team
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of clients' businesses, priorities, competitive landscapes, and communications opportunities
  • Stay informed on healthcare industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging communications approaches, leveraging internal and external resources to strengthen team expertise
  • Anticipate client needs, proactively identifying potential challenges and opportunities while providing strategic recommendations
  • Build trusted client relationships through empathy, sound judgment, and thoughtful counsel
  • Balance client objectives with Edelman's business priorities while fostering collaborative, productive partnerships
  • Deliver integrated communications strategies rooted in insights and aligned to measurable business outcomes
  • Establish meaningful success metrics, monitor program performance, and communicate results against agreed-upon business and communications goals
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client service and high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in communications marketing and/or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated communications programs for healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences clients
  • Proven ability to provide strategic counsel and manage senior-level client relationships
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and overseeing multiple complex client engagements in a fast-paced environment
