Job Description
Shopify Solutions Architect designing enterprise Shopify implementations and replatforms for DemandPDX, a Salesforce Crest Gold and Shopify Plus Partner. Leading architecture, integrations, and technical delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide eCommerce strategy and guidance for clients wanting to replatform to Shopify
- Collaborate with clients, account managers, and creative teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and recommend technical solutions
- Architect and implement custom Shopify themes, features, and functionality tailored to each client’s needs and branding
- Develop and maintain Shopify apps, integrations, and third-party services
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices
- Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and implement resolutions to optimize client outcomes
- Stay updated on Shopify platform updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Provide technical leadership throughout planning, estimation, execution, and delivery
- Lead technical conversations with clients and participate in sales and discovery
- Design enterprise Shopify solutions and surrounding ecosystem integrations
- Participate in implementation, launch, and ongoing optimization
- Work with sales, project managers, business analysts, designers, and engineers
Requirements:
- Significant Shopify Plus and enterprise eCommerce implementation experience
- 5 years of experience in developing and customizing Shopify-based e-commerce solutions, preferably within an agency or consulting environment
- Proficiency in Shopify platform architecture, including themes, Liquid, APIs, and app development
- Strong expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles
- Experience leading and managing a team of developers, with a collaborative and client-focused approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a track record of analyzing complex issues and delivering innovative solutions
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, project management tools, and version control systems
- Shopify Developer certifications (e.g., Shopify Plus Certified, Shopify App Developer Certification) are a plus
