Job Description
Co-op Software Developer contributing to full-stack maritime SaaS development at Helm Operations. Building features that support tugboats, ferries, workboats, and global harbor operations.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of new software features
- Collaborate with experienced developers to solve real-world customer challenges
- Learn full-stack development with modern tools and frameworks
- Gain hands-on experience in agile product development
Requirements:
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Strong communication skills in verbal and written English
- Exposure to at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Java, C/C++, C#, Python)
- Interest in front-end (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and/or back-end (C#, databases) development
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) — nice-to-have, not required
- Familiarity with relational databases — nice-to-have, not required
- Interest in maritime, industrial, or safety-critical software — nice-to-have, not required
