Job Description
Software Developer building and maintaining cloud-based healthcare claims software for FinThrive. Developing features, modernizing applications, and supporting Patient to Payment products.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new features and tools supporting healthcare software
- Support and maintain existing products in the Patient to Payment technology suite
- Create or update components of claims products
- Work with web technologies and modernize older applications
- Build cloud-based software using modern CI/CD practices
- Develop new features and maintain or enhance existing functionality
- Maintain an extensible and performant system architecture
- Perform code reviews, unit test coverage, and continuous improvement
- Monitor and fix security vulnerabilities
- Support automation and productivity
- Communicate technical deliverables and hurdles to team members and project leadership
- Incorporate valuable new technologies into the product technology stack
- Work with support organizations to resolve production issues
- Analyze, replicate, and fix defects and provide root cause analysis
- Troubleshoot functional and performance issues
- Update code, deployment, and support documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field; alternative 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience developing software in an Agile environment
- Good knowledge of Visual Studio, C#, C++, SQL, and WebAPI
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as nUnit, Moq, MSTest, or nspec
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of CI/CD and integrating automation into CI/CD
- Ability to collaborate with developers and product owners
- Strong understanding of .NET
- Azure knowledge
- Continuous Integration experience and understanding
- Automated Testing and Continuous Integration experience
- Test Driven Development (TDD) experience
- Cloud-based software development experience
- Healthcare domain knowledge, specifically Patient Accounting, HIM, Revenue Cycle, and IT integration
- Knowledge of software development best practices, code quality, unit test coverage, and security vulnerabilities
