Job Description

Software Engineer building React and .NET applications for ABACUS. Designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining production-ready web software with SQL databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using React, .NET C# Web API, and SQL
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices
  • Develop and optimize database queries and contribute to database design and performance improvements
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and application issues
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and development processes
  • Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Develop reusable components and shared functionality to improve development efficiency
  • Support application performance, scalability, and security initiatives
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry best practices
  • Deliver software features and projects with limited supervision
  • Contribute to technical discussions, solution design, and code reviews
  • Support and share knowledge with junior team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience in a commercial environment
  • 2–4 years of strong proficiency in .NET C#, ASP.NET Core/Web API, React, and SQL
  • 2–4 years of understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development concepts
  • 1–3 years of experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • 2–4 years of understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, Git, SDLC, data structures and algorithms, and relational database design and normalization
  • 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and debugging complex application issues
  • 1–3 years of familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • 2–4 years of understanding of software security principles and secure coding practices
  • 2–4 years of ability to analyze requirements and develop scalable, maintainable solutions
  • 2–4 years of strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • 1–3 years of ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Preferred: exposure to cloud-based environments and deployment practices
  • Preferred: experience with Python or other programming languages
  • Preferred: experience developing reusable component libraries or shared frameworks
  • Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Preferred: experience with Vite or similar front-end build tools
