Job Description

Software Engineer building scalable applications and services for Pomelo AI’s global technology clients. Designing, testing, deploying, and optimizing production-ready systems across the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and services
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality features
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices
  • Build and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Stay up to date with modern software development tools, frameworks, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Experienced Software Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or C#
  • Experience building web applications, backend services, or distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to work in a US time zone, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)
  • Willingness and ability to work in US Eastern Time, Monday to Friday (9:00am-5:00pm ET)
