Job Description

Inspection Manager leading residential solar inspection operations at SpartanX LLC. Overseeing inspection scheduling, quality control, and team performance for efficient project completion across multiple markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily inspection operations across multiple markets
  • Ensure projects are inspection-ready prior to AHJ and utility inspections
  • Monitor inspection schedules, timelines, and project milestones
  • Identify and resolve issues that could delay inspections or project completion
  • Coordinate inspection corrections and reinspection activities
  • Manage, coach, and develop inspection schedulers, inspection technicians, and support personnel
  • Establish performance expectations and departmental accountability
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Monitor inspection pass rates and identify trends requiring operational improvements
  • Develop and implement quality control standards that improve inspection success
  • Establish and track KPIs related to inspection performance, cycle times, and operational efficiency
  • Review inspection documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, AHJ requirements, and utility guidelines
  • Partner with permitting, scheduling, installation, electrical, service, engineering, and sales teams to maintain project flow
  • Communicate with AHJs, inspectors, municipalities, and utility providers when necessary
  • Support executive leadership with operational reporting and performance metrics
  • Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability

Requirements:

  • Previous residential solar inspection experience required
  • Previous leadership or management experience required
  • Strong understanding of residential solar construction, permitting, inspections, and project workflows
  • Experience working with AHJs, inspectors, and utility providers
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience with CRMs, scheduling platforms, and operational software
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and improve KPIs
  • Previous Inspection Manager or Operations Manager experience preferred
  • Electrical, permitting, or quality control background preferred
  • NABCEP certification preferred
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-state solar operations preferred
