Job Description
Solutions Architect helping Apaleo’s API-first hospitality platform win strategic accounts. Designing integrations, automations, and AI agents for hospitality customers.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical voice in front of strategic customers and deals
- Lead technical discovery and solution scoping where standard demos are insufficient
- Define clear scopes covering native Apaleo capabilities, short-term solutions, and out-of-scope items
- Build fast proofs of concept in safe test environments without live guest data
- Design and build agents and automations using n8n, Make, and Apaleo’s AI agent platform
- Write code for deterministic agent steps
- Deliver hands-on short-term solutions that unblock deals, reduce adoption risks, or fill product gaps
- Establish exit plans for custom builds
- Conduct post-sale health checks and scope integrations for expanding customers
- Create reusable reference architectures, patterns, and templates
- Participate in thought leadership on AI’s impact on hospitality
- Test new technology on customer problems and share prototypes and evidence with Product
- Collaborate with Sales/BD, Account Management, Customer Success, Product, Security, Partnerships, RevOps, and Senior Leadership
- Deliver architecture engagements and blueprints
- Support customer satisfaction, adoption, revenue impact, and churn prevention
Requirements:
- Multiple years in solution architecture, solution engineering, or technical consulting in B2B SaaS, ideally with complex software such as ERP or enterprise platforms
- Strong API skills, including REST, authentication, webhooks, events, and data-flow design
- Hands-on workflow automation experience; n8n preferred
- Practical experience building with LLM agents
- Systems-thinking ability and day-to-day use of AI tools
- Stakeholder management experience and credibility with executives and IT teams
- Self-direction, ownership mindset, and scope discipline
- Curiosity demonstrated through working prototypes
- Clear, structured documentation habits
- Fluent English and German skills
- Willingness to travel, including regularly to France and the UK
- Hospitality or travel experience, including hotel operations and PMS concepts
- Experience with cloud PMS, channel manager, or payment integrations
- Enterprise architecture experience on large, multi-site projects
- Applied AI or ML background, or experience with MCP and agent platforms
- SQL and BI fundamentals
