Job Description
Solutions Architect designing and deploying cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and backup solutions for Babble’s customers. Authoring architectures and statements of work while guiding complex technical delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead hands-on implementation on complex, high-risk, or multi-domain projects
- Deploy and configure Azure Virtual Desktop, complex network architectures, multi-tenant security configurations, hybrid identity environments, and large-scale migrations
- Produce High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs across Modern Workplace, Cyber Security, Network, and Backup/DR domains
- Author Statements of Work defining scope, deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, acceptance criteria, and milestones
- Provide technical guidance and design assurance throughout delivery
- Review implementation progress against HLD/LLD specifications and validate configuration decisions
- Act as a senior technical resource for the Professional Services team
- Support pre-sales activities including scoping calls, solution qualification, feasibility assessments, and proposal design input
- Conduct customer technical design reviews and secure solution sign-off
- Define and maintain technical standards, deployment checklists, configuration baselines, and design templates
- Validate UAT results and technical acceptance
- Mentor and develop Level 1 and Level 2 engineers
- Collaborate with Service Desk, NOC, and managed services teams on operational supportability
- Contribute to vendor relationship management and evaluate new product capabilities
- Identify and communicate project risks, design constraints, and technical dependencies
- Lead post-implementation design reviews and capture lessons learned
- Maintain expert-level technical skills and advanced vendor certifications across the solution portfolio
Requirements:
- Extensive experience of solution design and delivery across all four domains (Modern Workplace, Cyber Security, Backup/DR and Networking) and Azure
- Demonstrable design authorship (High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs and Statements of Work)
- Pre-sales technical experience
- Track record of mentoring and raising the technical capability of a delivery team
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or its current Microsoft successor certification (desired)
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), or its current Microsoft successor certification (desired)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102), or its current Microsoft successor certification (desired)
- Sophos Certified Architect for Sophos Firewall and Sophos Central Endpoint/Server, with corresponding Sophos Certified Engineer certifications as prerequisites (desired)
- Acronis Certified Engineer (Cyber Protect) (desired)
- Mimecast Certified Product Professional, Advanced level (Email Security, Cloud Gateway) (desired)
- PRINCE2 7th Edition Practitioner or equivalent project management certification (advantageous)
- ITIL 4 Foundation or ITIL Version 5 Foundation (advantageous)
- CISSP or equivalent senior security certification; CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) acceptable foundational alternative (advantageous)
- CrowdStrike Falcon certifications such as CCFA or CCFR, and familiarity with Falcon Complete (advantageous)
- Stable internet connection
- Suitable home work setup with a desk and chair in a quiet space
- Solution to mitigate loadshedding; working from a public space is not acceptable
