Job Description
Data Solutions Architect helping Stripe customers architect payment-data pipelines, analytics, and financial reporting. Advising enterprise sales, product, and engineering teams on complex data opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert on Stripe's Data products, including data pipelines/export, revenue and reconciliation reporting, and analytics tooling
- Demonstrate understanding of payments and revenue data warehousing and modeling, including pipelines into Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, and Databricks; ETL/ELT patterns; financial reporting, reconciliation, and BI
- Conduct customer discovery of data architecture, warehouses, and reporting stacks to architect aligned solutions
- Advise customers on multi-entity and multi-currency reporting, custom data models, BI tool integrations, ERP/GL systems, and data freshness/latency requirements
- Create reusable assets and reference architectures and share best practices across sales and pre-sales organizations
- Partner with the Data product sales team, drive opportunities for large customers, lead solution strategy, and own key customer relationships
- Serve as the Voice of the Customer for product and feature prioritization
- Identify product, industry, implementation, and competitive trends to influence the Data product roadmap
- Escalate complex technical issues to Stripe's engineering team and drive them to resolution
- Represent technical business health on quarterly sales forecast calls and highlight deal blockers with proposed solutions
- Support marketing events, including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows
- Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, product, engineering, and senior customer leaders to drive pipeline and revenue targets
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in a technical sales, pre-sales, or solutions architecture role, with a focus on data platforms, analytics, or financial reporting
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with data warehousing and pipeline architecture, including Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, and ETL/ELT tooling
- Strong understanding of how payments and revenue data maps to financial reporting and reconciliation workflows
- Experience working with or implementing BI/analytics platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Metabase, or similar
- Strong knowledge of software engineering and API integration patterns, including how data pipelines are built and maintained
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, comfortable explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners
- Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
