Job Description
Specification Sales Account Executive driving Stego construction-product specifications across the Western United States. Influencing architects, engineers, and design professionals to create demand and downstream sales.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Pipeline Development to identify, develop, and implement strategic plans
- Ensure internal cross-collaboration and use of Company resources to achieve shared objectives
- Conduct data-driven post-analysis using KPIs and BI tools
- Promote Stego products and influence and secure specifications positioning products as the standard choice for architects, engineers, consultants, and design professionals
- Provide technical expertise and specification services to design professionals
- Create demand for Stego products and strengthen brand presence in design and construction communities
- Conduct virtual and in-person seminars, webinars, and meetings with architecture and engineering firms
- Communicate by phone and email to market Stego products across multiple brands
- Identify, evaluate, and track construction projects and customer accounts with potential for Stego products
- Analyze specification trends and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with Lead Generation, Customer Development, and Sales teams to nurture relationships and ensure specification pull-through
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, customers, and industry groups
- Utilize Stego’s CRM and internal resources to track specification activities, account engagements, and construction project progress
- Serve as a Stego brand ambassador across customer touchpoints
- Handle inbound inquiries from architectural and design customers, including technical and product application questions
- Participate in regional specification blitzes, trade shows, customer events, and industry conferences
- Build strong working relationships across Pipeline Development, Sales, and Stego teams
- Establish the Specifications Subdivision as a respected Company resource and support its culture
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of architectural sales experience (required)
- Demonstrated track record of meaningfully contributing to profitability and market share growth (required)
- 5+ years of sales experience (preferred)
- Construction, manufacturing, design, or technical experience (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Salesforce (strongly preferred)
- Excellent presentation, networking, and oral and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking, planning, problem solving, and strategy implementation skills
- High emotional intelligence
- Highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy with strong follow-through skills
- Ability to thrive in a team environment (strong interpersonal skills)
- Ability to communicate frequently by phone or video conference
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards and remain stationary to work on a computer for prolonged periods
- Physical ability to travel to customer, team, and industry meetings and events
- Ability to travel for team and Company meetings and events, including days, nights, and overnight stays
- Ability to travel for customer meetings and events, including days, nights, and overnight stays
- Ability to travel for industry meetings, conferences, and events, including days, nights, and overnight stays
