Job Description
Staff Platform Engineer building secure GCP developer platforms and self-service tooling for RWS, a global language-services company. Modernizing legacy workloads and improving developer delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure developer platforms across cloud and hybrid environments
- Implement tools such as Terraform to standardize infrastructure as code across teams and environments
- Build intuitive self-service capabilities, including AI/agentic tooling
- Modernize legacy workloads and help teams adopt cloud-native practices
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with technical leads on complex problems
- Improve platform speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Support RWS operations and end users through Product & Technology platforms
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on expertise in GCP
- Solid background in Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability
- Track record of contributing to and delivering key components of developer platforms and self-service tools
- Strong background in a coding language and software development
- Understanding of how AI development harnesses might be built into shared platform capabilities
- Ability to connect team-level technical decisions to broader platform strategy
- Passion for mentoring, collaboration, and improving the developer experience
