Job Description

Ryder Recruiter II sourcing, screening, and hiring talent for transportation and logistics operations. Supporting hiring managers and business partners across high-volume, technical, and professional recruiting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide World Class Recruiting Services to the Ryder organization in a cost-effective manner
  • Continuously search for and provide state-of-the-art recruitment methodology
  • Identify, recruit, interview, and recommend candidates for entry- and mid-level, high-volume positions and managerial, technical, and/or professional positions
  • Source, screen, interview, and refer candidates to hiring managers
  • Develop effective working relationships with placement agencies and external recruiters
  • Maintain effective working relationships with HR and business partners to ensure appropriate service levels
  • Work on staffing issues of moderate scope, reviewing a variety of factors in analyzing situations or data
  • Ensure compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting
  • Promote Ryder as an employer of choice
  • Determine the best recruiting avenues
  • Contribute to organizational projects and goals
  • Assess business-unit staffing needs and take appropriate steps to meet service levels
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions
  • Maintain internal and some external contacts
  • Work in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Four (4) years or more experience in a related area required
  • Must have business perspective
  • Exercises some judgment in accordance with policies and guidelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Flexibility and self-drive to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
  • Compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting
