Job Description

Technical Sales Manager driving commercial growth for a biotechnology company specializing in nutraceuticals and food ingredients. Building relationships with supplement brands and manufacturers, translating scientific concepts into value propositions.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively develop and manage a B2B sales pipeline — including lead nurturing, opportunity management, and deal closure — targeting supplement brands and contract manufacturers.
  • Serve as the key commercial interface between the internal lab/R&D team and external buyers, translating complex scientific concepts into compelling commercial value propositions.
  • Present and pitch technically sophisticated ingredient solutions in a clear, accessible way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain long-term key account relationships, acting as a trusted partner throughout the customer journey.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the science team to align customer requirements with product capabilities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Contribute to commercial strategy and business development efforts as the company scales.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a natural science or technical discipline — e.g. Food Technology, Nutritional Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Business with a Life Sciences focus — or equivalent qualification.
  • 2–4 years of B2B sales, key account management, or business development experience in the ingredients, supplement, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across lab teams and procurement functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical/scientific products into clear commercial benefits.
  • Experience building and managing structured sales pipelines.
  • Fluent German (required for customer-facing work) and good English for international stakeholder communication.

Benefits:

  • Opportunity to join at a pivotal commercial growth stage with significant ownership and impact.
  • Work with a small, expert team at the intersection of biotechnology, nutrition science, and product innovation.
