Job Description
Technical Trainer building Team Cymru Academy courses, labs, and learning paths for cybersecurity practitioners. Delivering threat intelligence training that increases customer adoption of Team Cymru’s Pure Signal platform.
Responsibilities:
- Build and deliver the Team Cymru Academy customer education program
- Design role-based learning paths for threat intelligence analysts, SOC/IR intelligence consumers, CTI leads, and platform specialists
- Create instructor-led sessions, self-paced e-learning, videos, and hands-on labs
- Cover threat hunting, investigations, reporting, and automation workflows
- Develop fundamentals, intermediate, and advanced learning paths and labs
- Keep training content current with product releases and the evolving threat landscape
- Deliver live virtual and in-person training, including advanced master classes
- Coach analysts through realistic investigations using Team Cymru solutions
- Represent the Academy at customer on-sites, user conferences, and industry events
- Administer the Academy learning platform, including learning paths, enrollments, assessments, and learner support
- Establish scalable content production with authoring tools and lab environments
- Manage the training calendar, cohort scheduling, and session logistics
- Build the operational foundation for future certifications
- Define and track program KPIs, learner feedback, product adoption, retention, and growth
- Report Academy impact to Customer Success and account teams
- Partner with CTI Advisors, Solution Engineers, threat researchers, Product, Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Engineering
Requirements:
- 4+ years in cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in CTI, threat hunting, SOC, or incident response roles
- 2+ years designing and delivering technical training, enablement, or customer education for external audiences
- Demonstrated experience building technical training content, including courses, labs, exercises, or workshops
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP
- Practical threat hunting and investigation skills, including pivoting, passive DNS, open ports, certificates, and network telemetry
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, the intelligence lifecycle, and CTI operations
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms, SIEMs, or SOARs
- Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills for live and on-camera audiences
- Ability to break complex analytical concepts into clear, practical learning experiences
- Ability to build a program from the ground up with limited precedent
- Organized and metrics-driven, able to run content, delivery, platform, and reporting work streams in parallel
- Cybersecurity certifications such as GCTI, GCIA, or CISSP, or instructional credentials such as CPTD are preferred
- Experience administering or building on an LMS and using content authoring tools such as Articulate or Camtasia is strongly preferred
- Basic scripting, such as Python, is a plus
- Occasional travel within the US and internationally is required
