Job Description

Territory Business Manager managing Zoetis beef-animal-health products across Northwest Iowa. Building producer, veterinarian, dealer, and distributor relationships to grow sales and market share.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Zoetis Beef business in Northwest Iowa
  • Manage the Zoetis Cattle business with distributors, veterinarians, dealers, and producers in the territory
  • Call on Stocker/Backgrounders, Cow/Calf producers, veterinarians, dealers, and distributor representatives
  • Quantify and qualify differences among Zoetis products and competitor products
  • Conduct educational training and producer seminars using presentation and selling skills
  • Build relationships and influence within veterinarians, distributors, extension, and university personnel
  • Manage a broad geographic area and diverse customer base to achieve sales targets, increased market share, and business objectives
  • Build customer trust through reliability, credibility, and follow-up
  • Plan territories and set priorities through data analysis, resource utilization, and execution of business plans
  • Apply beef industry, product, and business/financial knowledge
  • Share, collaborate, and act as a team player
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Travel and spend nights away from home
  • Drive to producer, clinic, and dealer facilities across the defined geography

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) and/or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of cattle related experience for a Territory Business Manager
  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of Beef industry is preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately at least 25% of the time, including some weekends
  • In-depth product and disease knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word applications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to drive to customer locations across the defined geography
  • Ability to work on Beef Operations
  • Willingness to work with cows from husbandry to treatment administration and product administration education
