Job Description

Territory Director leading warehouse operations, customer service, safety, and performance across multiple North American distribution centers. Driving cost-effective operations and territory growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for supply chain operations within an assigned area of the distribution network
  • Achieve company objectives, performance standards, and operating expense goals across multiple distribution centers in a defined North American territory
  • Manage overall customer servicing and warehouse facility performance, including operations, customer relations, quality, safety, and security
  • Develop and direct Managers to ensure efficient and cost-effective warehouse operations
  • Oversee receiving, storing, shipping, returned or damaged product handling, and administrative distribution services
  • Develop and execute account planning strategies to increase sales and grow existing and new business
  • Direct warehouse managers to achieve facility metrics and prescribed objectives
  • Recruit, hire, and train the warehouse management team
  • Monitor warehouse space layout plans
  • Direct employee, equipment, and property safety programs and monitor injury reporting compliance
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Maintain professional customer relationships
  • Audit operations for service and safety standards
  • Ensure accurate inventory control and warehouse security
  • Participate in labor contract negotiations as requested
  • Assume other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • BS Degree required
  • At least five (5) years in a regional distribution leadership role
  • Strong background in warehouse operations
  • Working knowledge of warehouse and transportation management systems
  • Must be able to effectively communicate within the organization and business units throughout the company, and with partners across the supply chain
  • Must value diversity and exhibit a leadership style that creates a cohesive team environment
  • Must be successful in managing effective deployment of resources to achieve organizational objectives
  • Six Sigma Certification desired
  • Required to travel up to 70% of the time
  • Minimal physical effort; ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and very occasionally lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
