Job Description
Territory Manager overseeing insurance agencies, underwriting support, and territory growth for Mutual Capital’s insurance companies. Traveling 60%-70% across Western Pennsylvania to manage agents and relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned territory agencies, including recruiting, training, and supervising agents or sales representatives
- Manage agency relationships and portfolios
- Collaborate with commercial, personal, and renewal underwriters
- Develop, manage, and execute the territory marketing plan
- Travel to assigned agents and/or as needed
- Perform business planning and budgeting
- Meet growth, profit, new business, and loss objectives
- Apply commercial, personal, and agricultural underwriting guides to provide technical support and ensure company policies and standards are followed
- Meet producer and policyholder service standards
- Support corporate initiatives and provide services across multiple subsidiary companies
Requirements:
- College degree or comparable work experience
- 3+ years of P&C sales experience preferred
- Must be able to travel 60%-70% of the work week, with some overnight stays possible
- Commercial lines underwriting experience, a plus
- Proficient interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Efficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ideal candidate will reside within the assigned territory: Western Pennsylvania, extending from the State College area westward to the western Pennsylvania border
