Job Description

Valuation Analyst reviewing appraisals and other real estate valuations for ValuationNEXUS, a business-purpose lending AMC. Analyzing collateral risk, supporting review quality, and mentoring valuation staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct collateral reviews of third-party valuation reports, including appraisals, BPOs, evaluations, and additional valuation products
  • Base reviews on value, complexity, and risk factors
  • Complete review forms using research from online real estate sources and public records
  • Perform and document detailed property market value analyses, including high-value and complex properties
  • Present findings to the VP, Valuation
  • Identify training needs, mentor staff, and promote quality and productivity standards
  • Collaborate with Valuations and Sales teams to align performance expectations and department goals
  • Assist the VP, Valuation and Team Lead in identifying performance gaps and proposing corrective actions
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information while protecting personal, loan, business, financial, and proprietary data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; relevant experience strongly preferred
  • 4–8 years of real estate valuation experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in appraisal review and collateral analysis
  • 3+ years of collateral appraisal review experience within a lender or AMC environment strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of USPAP and Appraiser Independence Requirements
  • Proficient knowledge and use of MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Strong valuation skills
