Job Description

Vice President leading go-to-market strategy for MGT’s technology and advisory solutions serving government agencies. Building sales plays, field enablement, and industry growth programs to accelerate revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute GTM strategies for priority solutions, markets, and customer segments
  • Translate Marketing positioning, campaigns, and insights into sales plays, playbooks, talk tracks, use cases, competitive messaging, and field-ready assets
  • Design repeatable GTM motions for net-new growth, cross-sell, market expansion, strategic accounts, and priority industry segments
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, practice leaders, pursuit/capture, proposals, channel, and Sales Operations to move initiatives from strategy to field execution
  • Build and lead a field industry-expert capability, including recruiting, developing, and deploying Field CTOs or similar subject-matter experts
  • Position industry and technical experts in strategic customer meetings, executive briefings, events, and complex pursuits
  • Embed subject-matter expertise into proposals and RFX development
  • Develop GTM approaches for SLED buyers reflecting procurement, budget cycles, stakeholder dynamics, regulation, and event-driven engagement
  • Own field readiness for priority solutions and launches, including narratives, tools, training, competitive context, and proof points
  • Create feedback loops across customers, sellers, industry experts, Marketing, and practice leaders
  • Use customer insights, competitive intelligence, win/loss analysis, market signals, and field feedback to improve GTM priorities and sales plays
  • Establish GTM metrics and dashboards for sales-play adoption, influenced pipeline, conversion, win rates, sales-cycle impact, and field engagement
  • Integrate AI, automation, and emerging technologies into market intelligence, account prioritization, sales-play development, seller enablement, and proposal support
  • Present GTM strategy, field insights, program performance, market opportunities, and recommendations to executive leadership and senior stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business, Marketing, Technology, Communications, or a related field
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of progressive experience in GTM strategy, product or industry marketing, sales strategy, business development, sales enablement, or a related B2B function
  • Proven experience launching and scaling sales plays and GTM programs that improve pipeline, adoption, field effectiveness, and revenue outcomes
  • Experience serving SLED or the broader public sector strongly preferred, with knowledge of government buying cycles, procurement, stakeholders, and complex pursuits
  • Experience working with or leading customer-facing technical and industry experts such as Field CTOs, solution advisors, or industry specialists
  • Ability to translate complex technology and advisory capabilities into clear customer value propositions, executive narratives, enablement, and sales motions
  • Strong analytical orientation with CRM, enablement, market-intelligence, and BI tools
  • Demonstrated use of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve insight and productivity
  • Excellent executive communication, program leadership, change-management, and stakeholder-influence skills across Sales, Marketing, practice, pursuit, and operational teams
  • Strategic builder and player-coach who moves quickly from market insight to field execution
