Job Description
VP of Engineering leading Seeq’s application squads for industrial process-data analytics software. Scaling engineering capacity while guiding distributed teams, cloud platforms, and enterprise software delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-user-facing engineering squads, comprising roughly half of the engineering team
- Manage technical teams and take them to the next level
- Expand engineering capacity as the company grows its customer base and market aspirations
- Contribute meaningfully to technical teams while advancing in leadership
- Oversee enterprise software development lifecycles, including Agile/Scrumban methodologies, CI/CD, discovery, design, quality assurance, and support
- Mentor and coach engineers and provide clear guidance
- Resolve conflict among individuals, teams, team leaders, and peers
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams using remote collaboration tools
- Travel periodically to spend time with the team and company
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience managing technical teams and advancing their capabilities
- Hands-on technical leadership with meaningful contributions to technical teams while progressing in leadership roles
- Experience in distributed computing
- Deep knowledge of the cloud ecosystem
- Deep experience with enterprise software development lifecycles
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrumban
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, discovery, design, quality assurance, and support
- Strong mentoring and coaching abilities
- Ability to manage and resolve conflict among individuals, teams, team leaders, and peers
- High attention to detail and reliable communication
- Willingness to travel periodically
- Ability to balance life and work in a high-level leadership role
- Must be authorized to work in the country in which you reside
- Seeq does not sponsor US F1 or H-1B work visas
