Job Description
VP of Product owning Autura's AI-native platform strategy for towing, dispatch, auctions, and marketplaces. Building the product organization and driving embedded payments and marketplace monetization.
Responsibilities:
- Own the go-forward product strategy for Autura's full product portfolio
- Decide what products and capabilities to unify, invest in, or retire
- Turn a fragmented multi-product surface into a coherent platform
- Own product direction, discovery, prioritization, and the rationale for product decisions
- Partner with engineering leadership on product and delivery tradeoffs
- Build and lead an AI-native product function across product, design, UX, and frontend
- Hire, shape, and coach the product team
- Install a modern operating model based on customer proximity, evidence-driven prioritization, specifications, prototypes, and continuous shipping
- Use AI for rapid prototypes, API specifications with mock data, and agentic tooling
- Drive growth initiatives in embedded payments, fintech, and marketplace monetization
- Report to the CEO and partner with the CTO and engineering leadership
Requirements:
- Hands-on product building is a hard requirement: personally ship AI prototypes, working UI and flows, agents, and internal tools
- Senior product leadership experience
- Ideally, experience transforming a slow, legacy, or multi-product organization into a faster, more focused one
- Fluency combining product with design, UX, and frontend
- Comfort operating through small, AI-accelerated engineering pods
- Sharp product judgment and ability to use customer and business data
- Strong customer instinct and proximity to real end users and sales teams
- Clear, direct communication with executives, the board, and the team
- Bonus: vehicle, mobility, logistics, dispatch, or marketplace software experience
- Bonus: payments or embedded-finance experience relevant to monetization
- Remote in the US; location in Texas or near a major airport hub
- Ability to travel regularly to customers and team hubs
