Job Description
VP of Sales building Zipliens’ end-to-end sales organization for lien resolution serving personal injury law firms. Leading forecasting, outbound development, hiring, coaching, and cross-functional revenue alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coach the Account Executive, Partnerships, and outbound Sales Development functions
- Hire, onboard, and ramp new sales talent as the team grows
- Set individual and team quotas
- Build a traditional outbound sales development motion focused on prospecting and qualification
- Own the full sales forecast and pipeline health across sales functions
- Report revenue attainment, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy to executive leadership
- Set lead/opportunity routing, quotas, territories, and segment coverage across Single Event and Mass Tort
- Own the sales playbook, stage definitions, and forecasting methodology
- Partner with Marketing on battlecards, demo collateral, enablement, lead handoff SLAs, account-based marketing, event strategy, and campaign feedback
- Own HubSpot Sales Hub process design and data discipline
- Partner with Customer Success on post-sale handoff and expansion signals
- Partner with Finance on revenue forecasting, quota planning, and compensation design
- Define career paths across Sales Development, Account Executive, and Partnerships roles
- Coach direct reports on deal strategy, pipeline management, and professional growth through one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, and call recording analysis
- Report to the CCO and align sales with marketing, customer success, lien resolution operations, product, and revenue planning
- Lead department growth strategy with autonomy to hire and restructure roles and reporting lines
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of B2B sales experience
- At least 2 years directly managing a team of quota-carrying sales professionals
- Experience managing multiple sales functions (e.g., Account Executives, SDR/BDR, or Partnerships) is a strong plus
- Background in legal services, legal tech, or another relationship-driven B2B services/SaaS is a plus
- Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline (HubSpot or similar)
- Data-driven performance analysis
- Comfortable operating cross-functionally with stakeholders and collaborators
- Willingness to travel as needed for team, partner, and customer engagement
