Job Description

Web Business Specialist improving BlueCross BlueShield enterprise websites, portals, and digital experiences. Leading web projects, content quality, accessibility, analytics, and cross-functional implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve enterprise websites, portals, and digital experiences
  • Update and proactively review web content to ensure it is consistent, compliant, accessible, high quality, accurate, reliable, and useful
  • Build practices and schedules for routinely monitoring websites
  • Determine actions needed to address website issues and follow them through to completion
  • Work closely with business and technical teams across the organization to deliver effective digital experiences and support reporting and information needs
  • Support internet/intranet development and content for the division/department
  • Assess web business needs and problems and identify revenue-generating opportunities using web design knowledge and research to help develop business strategies
  • Evaluate competitiveness with related businesses or websites and recommend sales channels, strategic partners, and marketing opportunities
  • Lead web teams from creation of project/scope documents through testing and implementation
  • Work with information systems to ensure business needs are met
  • Serve as a customer liaison with information systems to develop appropriate web-mainframe interfaces
  • Design and produce multimedia presentations from concepts to completion
  • Analyze web problems, collaborate with information systems on critical issues, and assist in problem resolution

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of job-related work experience
  • 2 years of experience in internet/intranet website design or maintenance or social media strategy, including related business writing experience in a creative environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of internet/intranet technologies and website content design
  • Good business writing, editing, time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience managing enterprise websites, portals, or digital experiences in a content management system (CMS), preferably Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Strong documentation and knowledge management skills, including creating training materials, operational guides, and process documentation and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools, responsible AI practices, and emerging digital experience technologies
  • Experience applying website standards, including accessibility guidelines (WCAG), SEO/AEO best practices, and conducting quality assurance reviews of digital content and websites
  • Experience using digital quality and performance tools such as Siteimprove, SwiftType, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and across multiple teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and customer experience
