The University of Mississippi Medical Center’s campus police department is charged with providing for the safety and well-being of all the patients, students, faculty, staff, and guests who attend class, work, and visit our campus, and with the security of the university buildings and property.
The University of Mississippi Medical Center’s campus police officers are always working and available to assist you 24/7, 365 days a year.
The department provides a comprehensive array of law enforcement services and operations through a dedicated staff of seventy-five sworn, state-commissioned police officers and twenty-five, full-time security officers.
All UMMC Police officers have the same authority and must meet the same expectations as law enforcement officers in the State of Mississippi.
