Job Description
Account Executive managing healthcare client relationships and pharmacy spend for Prime Therapeutics, a pharmacy benefit manager. Leading renewals, RFPs, strategic account plans and client engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for multiple accounts in an assigned market segment
- Work directly with groups to optimize pharmacy spend through Prime's products and services
- Drive alignment between assigned accounts and Prime's strategic goals and initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with plan account and pharmacy teams, consultants and brokers
- Maintain account knowledge and influence strategic plan development and prioritization
- Drive strategic master account plans, client engagement, satisfaction, contract compliance and deliverable measurement
- Establish internal relationships to advocate for client interests and drive enterprise solutions
- Partner with the Account Manager to ensure member and client service excellence
- Lead client meetings, including objectives, participants, preparation, presentations, materials, follow-through and documentation
- Lead strategic consultation efforts to maximize pharmacy spend through renewals and adoption of Prime products and services
- Educate groups on industry topics, product developments and competitive landscape
- Support sales processes, external audits, client presentations, client visits and health fairs
- Manage end-to-end RFP processes for renewing groups and develop contract renewal project plans
- Analyze contract language and requirements, standardize terms and mitigate conflicts
- Document account interactions, decisions, risks, dependencies and next steps in Salesforce CRM
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, healthcare administration or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
- High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED required
- 5 years of client service work experience, including 2 years of sales and/or account management experience in the healthcare or pharmacy benefit management industry
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
- Understanding of the healthcare industry with subject matter expertise in one or more areas, such as pharmacy trend or health plan benefits
- Ability to develop, evaluate and communicate selling strategies, presentations and proposals
- Ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport, collaborate and influence across departments and organizational levels
- Ability to balance compliance, business and competing goals and risks while driving programs and initiatives to completion
- Strong organization, prioritization and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to lead multiple complex projects and strategies under pressure and strict timeframes
- Ability to manage complex information and develop well-reasoned solutions
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment
- Ability to travel up to 40%
