Job Description

Account Manager growing TEMPUR bedding sales across Australian retail accounts. Managing store visits, merchandising, promotions, product training, and competitor insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth across an assigned territory by building relationships with retail partners
  • Deliver effective in-store execution and enhance product knowledge at store level
  • Conduct regular store visits aligned to a structured call cycle
  • Optimise merchandising, product positioning, displays, POS, signage, branding, and product placement
  • Grow product representation, range adoption, and TEMPUR share of store business
  • Partner with customers to support category growth and improve sales performance
  • Train retail sales teams on TEMPUR products and build retailer capability to sell and recommend products
  • Support in-store promotions, campaigns, product launches, and retail activation
  • Represent the company at trade events, Home Shows, exhibitions, retailer conferences, and industry events
  • Maintain CRM records of store visits, activities, and outcomes
  • Report on sales activities and opportunities
  • Support forecasting and planning processes
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, in-store presence, customer trends, and shopper behaviour
  • Share market insights with sales, product, and marketing teams
  • Collaborate with the Field Sales Manager, National Account Manager, and Customer Service

Requirements:

  • Build strong, professional relationships with retail store owners, managers, and Retail Sales Assistants
  • Understand each customer’s business, sales drivers, and growth opportunities
  • Develop and manage an effective call cycle across the allocated territory
  • Conduct regular and structured store visits
  • Prioritise high-value and growth accounts while maintaining service levels across all customers
  • Accurately maintain the Call Cycle in Outlook Calendar
  • Identify and implement opportunities to grow sales within each store
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key retail partners
  • Conduct regular store visit audits against TEMPUR standards
  • Develop a structured training plan and deliver engaging training modules to Retail Sales Assistants
  • Plan and deliver regular out-of-hours training sessions
  • Knowledge of TEMPUR product features, benefits, and differentiators
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide timely reporting
  • Support forecasting and planning through field insights
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity, pricing, and in-store presence
  • Work closely with the Field Sales Manager, National Account Manager, and Customer Service
