Job Description
Account Representative growing industrial parts distribution accounts for Motion Industries. Generating leads, preparing customized quotes, presenting solutions, and supporting customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Build or expand a book of business by converting competitors' business and expanding assigned medium-sized accounts into large accounts
- Maintain customer contact and manage customer expectations to foster customer satisfaction
- Increase revenue and profitability through new business generation and development of existing accounts
- Generate new leads through networking, cold calling, and researching directories and internet sites
- Interact face-to-face with customers to foster strong relationships and maintain satisfaction
- Understand complex customer requirements and prepare customized quotes
- Deliver sales presentations and ensure technical requirements are met
- Assist with onsite troubleshooting of customer concerns
- Coordinate vendor resources to build relationships and support sales
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience or an equivalent combination
- Knowledge of industrial products, including power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices
- Ability to influence customers while maintaining healthy relationships
- Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction
- Ability to multitask and manage time well
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
- Travel required
- May be required to be on-call nights or weekends, depending on need
- Valid driver's license required
- No supervisory responsibility
- No budget responsibility
