Job Description
Accountant responsible for maintaining financial records and supporting the Finance Department in Egypt. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and preparing financial reports.
Responsibilities:
- Records and maintains the Company's accounting transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal procedures.
- Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring their accuracy and timely execution.
- Performs bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepares and processes payments to suppliers, employees, and other third parties.
- Issues customer invoices and monitors collections in cooperation with the relevant departments.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Supports the preparation and submission of tax declarations and statutory reports in accordance with applicable legislation.
- Maintains accurate accounting records and ensures proper filing of financial documentation.
- Assists in budget monitoring, cost analysis, and financial reporting activities.
- Collaborates with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and public authorities when required.
- Supports internal and external audits by providing the required financial information and documentation.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable tax and financial regulations.
- Identifies opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal financial controls.
- Performs other accounting and financial duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or General Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance position.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in construction, industrial, maritime, or project-based environments is considered an advantage.
- Very good command of Greek and English languages.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
