Job Description
Remote Accountant managing Australian clients’ bookkeeping, reconciliations, BAS, GST, and financial reporting. Working from the Philippines under Wingman’s independent contractor model.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for Australian clients
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Process invoices, payments, and collections
- Assist with BAS preparation and lodgement support
- Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including GST and FBT
- Support payroll processing when required
- Assist with year-end reporting and audit preparation
- Work with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate reporting
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Australian accounting (REQUIRED)
- Direct experience working with Australian clients or companies (REQUIRED)
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance
- Hands-on experience with GST, BAS, and FBT
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup
- Self-provided equipment: computer with at least 8GB RAM, 512GB HDD/SSD, Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 (12th generation or newer), Windows 11 Home or Pro
- Power backup, secondary/external monitor, noise-cancelling headset, and webcam
- Internet speed of 40–50 Mbps minimum for both download and upload
- BIR self-registration/contributions as required by the government
- NBI or Police Clearance
- Government-issued ID
- Ability to work 7AM–4PM MNL time, Monday to Friday
- English proficiency test and 1–2 minute self-introduction video
- Personality test
- Willingness to comply with cybersecurity monitoring and safety tools
- Willingness to provide references and pre-employment requirements
- Independent contractor agreement under Singapore law with Philippines Resources Pte. Ltd.
