Job Description
Adjunct Classics professor teaching Latin and Classical Mythology remotely for Houston Christian University. Developing synchronous instruction and innovative strategies within a Christian liberal arts university.
Responsibilities:
- Teach two classes per semester in the Department of Classics and Biblical Languages
- Teach lower- and upper-level Latin and Classical Mythology
- Deliver all courses in a remote synchronous format
- Articulate a vision including teaching strategies and innovations for successful remote delivery
- Support the university’s Christian mission and worldview
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Classics or a related discipline by the time of appointment
- Availability to begin work in August 2022
- Enthusiasm about remote delivery
- Ability to articulate teaching strategies and innovations for successful remote instruction
- Commitment to supporting Houston Christian University’s Christian faith, worldview, and core convictions
- Successful completion of a background check
