Job Description

Admissions evaluator reviewing graduate applications for Vanderbilt’s business school. Writing recommendations, presenting assessments, and supporting selection research remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate applicant candidacy through holistic application review against evaluation criteria
  • Write decision recommendations with clear rationales
  • Orally present application reviews to a team including senior leadership
  • Complete evaluations accurately and on time according to predetermined applicant flow
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of the admissions process and application data
  • Assist with transcript review, benchmarking, and strategic research projects related to evaluation and selection
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Report to the Senior Director of Evaluation and Selection

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • At least three years of relevant experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and maintain strict confidentiality of admissions process and application data
  • Ability to function independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness and ability to learn a new CRM system
  • Commitment to work an average of 15 hours per week, up to 25 hours per week, September through April
  • Availability for periodic daytime meetings in the Central Standard Time Zone
  • Ability to work hours outside standard business hours as application flow and volume require
  • Ability to meet weekly goals and deadlines
  • Accurate time-record keeping
