Job Description
AI Engineer building scalable AI, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions for Echelon Services’ federal and commercial clients. Developing applications, automation workflows, and MVPs using Go and Python.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications using Go, Python, and other modern languages
- Build and integrate AI-driven solutions, including prompt engineering and automation workflows
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on new ideas to deliver minimum viable products (MVPs)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement technical solutions
- Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and contribute to process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in Go, Python, and at least one additional modern language (Java, C#, or Rust)
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and automation tools (e.g., IBM UFT, PowerAutomate)
- Strong understanding of cloud-native development and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience with OpenAI
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code is preferred
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation is preferred
- Knowledge of AI operations and MLOps practices is preferred
- Familiarity with secure coding principles and basic cybersecurity best practices is preferred
- Experience in federal, defense, or highly regulated environments is a plus
- Relevant industry certifications are preferred
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
