Job Description
AI Operational Productivity Engineer at OpenVPN transforming operational processes using AI-driven solutions. Collaborate across departments to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and scale AI agents, internal GPTs, and AI-powered workflows that reduce operational friction across all departments (Engineering, Product, Project, HR, BI, Marketing & Sales)
- Accelerate decision-making
- Encode domain expertise into reusable systems
- Increase productivity without compromising security or control
- Build and maintain internal GPTs and AI agents used across Recruitment & talent operations, Product management & discovery, Product vision & roadmap planning, Architecture & technical decision-making, Project Management & BI
- Design intent-based workflows where teams interact with systems using natural language
- Turn complex operational logic into AI-assisted, repeatable processes
- Identify high-impact productivity bottlenecks across CipherScale
- Replace manual, error-prone workflows with AI-driven automation
- Measure impact (time saved, errors reduced, adoption)
- Define standards for Prompt architecture, Agent reliability, Versioning, and documentation
- Ensure internal AI systems align with CipherScale’s Security-first mindset, Ownership of data communications, Compliance, and control principles
- Partner with team leads across Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, Operations & HR: to capture tribal knowledge, to encode best practices into AI systems to reduce dependency on individual experts, to enable teams to work with AI effectively, not just “use tools.”
Requirements:
- Background in Software Engineering with any programming language
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs / GPT-based systems and custom-made AI Agents using leading models and tools (Cursor, OpenAI, Gemini, Claude)
- Proven ability to build AI workflows or agents used in real operations, either custom-made or using tools like Zappier or N8N
- Experience translating complex operational problems into structured AI solutions
- Strong written and structured thinking
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
- High ownership mindset: you build, ship, refine, and maintain
