Job Description

AI Operations Engineer building agentic workflows and automation for OpenZeppelin, the onchain security standard. Maintaining its internal AI framework and enabling company-wide productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with business units to identify where AI can improve and automate daily workflows
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain AI automation workflows and scheduled tasks
  • Monitor and measure automation executions and improve underperforming components
  • Provide product feedback on the internal AI automation framework
  • Peer review and maintain the framework's source code
  • Run training sessions and write internal guides on applied AI topics, including skill development, agent design, and prompt/context engineering

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience building applied AI systems
  • Fluency with prompt engineering, context engineering, prompt caching, tool use, and progressive disclosure
  • Knowledge of skills, remote and local MCP servers, agents, and agent harnesses
  • Practical experience with LLM provider APIs and gateways, such as OpenAI Chat Completions and Responses APIs, Anthropic Messages API, or OpenRouter
  • Ability to read, write, and structure Markdown-based systems
  • TypeScript development experience
  • Solid Git and GitHub fluency, including branches, pull requests, reviews, and maintaining shared repositories
  • Security-first mindset regarding autonomous agent permissions
  • Ability to communicate deeply technical topics in writing and speech
  • Patience working with non-technical colleagues
  • Nice to have: familiarity with spec-driven development, RPI, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Superpowers, or Spec Kit
  • Nice to have: experience running LLM evaluations, benchmarks, and prompt regression testing
  • Nice to have: ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
