Job Description
Join Sigma Software as an Android Engineer to develop Android system internals for accessibility solutions. Utilize Java/Kotlin expertise in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research into Android system internals
- Develop and deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade features according to product requirements
- Collaborate closely with support, product management, and other mobile teams
- Stay up to date on mobile development trends and advancements in accessibility
- Ensure solutions meet accessibility compliance standards
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions
Requirements:
- 3–4 years of commercial experience in Android development (or Kotlin/Java background combined with Android experience)
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and platform architecture
- Understanding of Android application lifecycle and component lifecycle
- Familiarity with Android APIs and common design patterns
- Strong understanding of Android UI frameworks: Jetpack Compose, XML layouts, and WebViews
- Experience with dependency management tools (Gradle, Maven, JFrog)
- Upper-Intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English.
- Experience with accessibility features and standards (WILL BE A PLUS)
- Experience developing and integrating SDKs (WILL BE A PLUS)
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso) (WILL BE A PLUS)
- CI/CD experience with platforms like CircleCI or Jenkins (WILL BE A PLUS)
