Job Description

Application Support Analyst supporting HNL Lab Medicine’s healthcare applications, interfaces, and devices. Troubleshooting systems, maintaining documentation, and coordinating upgrades and user support.

Responsibilities:

  • Support, enhance, and maintain software infrastructure, applications, and devices
  • Provide technical support to end users, team members, clients, and vendors by troubleshooting, researching, analyzing, and resolving system issues
  • Escalate complex issues, monitor requests through resolution, and keep stakeholders informed
  • Ensure the safety, confidentiality, and security of employee and patient information in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as primary point of contact for support requests; triage issues, prioritize work by severity and impact, and coordinate timely resolutions
  • Monitor and maintain system performance so applications and interfaces meet clinical and business requirements
  • Configure, maintain, and document system definitions across multiple applications
  • Develop and maintain expertise in supported applications and integrated systems
  • Participate in testing, implementation, and support for upgrades, vendor releases, interfaces, defect resolution, migrations, and other technology initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify solutions, implement enhancements, configure tools, and educate users
  • Maintain documentation for applications, system changes, configurations, policies, procedures, and audit requirements
  • Build positive stakeholder relationships, manage expectations, and deliver high-quality customer service
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new hires and team members
  • Manage multiple priorities and participate in on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Perform other duties supporting department, organization, and health system objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Medical Technology, Information Science, or related field; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and use of information system applications in a practicing healthcare environment preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • No certifications needed
