Job Description
Assistant Manager administering IBM API Connect, Azure, DevOps, and middleware platforms for MashreqBank in Pakistan. Supporting production incidents, API lifecycle management, security, monitoring, and upgrades.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate support for critical production issues
- Provide domain expertise in system administration capabilities
- Install, configure, deploy, administer, and monitor IBM API Connect in cloud and on-premises VMs
- Monitor IBM API Connect environment health, API performance, and availability
- Participate in and lead incident-resolution calls and root-cause analysis
- Analyze logs to identify problems in IBM API Connect
- Configure and implement backup and restoration of IBM API Connect subsystems and configuration data
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying APIs
- Manage API lifecycles across multiple API Catalogs through the API Management Portal
- Maintain consumers by creating users, groups, roles, and security configurations
- Modify IBM API Connect Developer Portal configuration, Drupal themes, and look-and-feel content
- Enable third-party tools such as Elastic to capture analytics events for customer dashboards
- Construct advanced Splunk searches and configure monitoring and failure alerts
- Configure API Connect security using TLS Profiles and native OAuth2 mechanisms
- Apply maintenance patches, interim releases, and upgrades
- Deliver technical architecture information and support technical discovery sessions
- Assist architects and team leads and respond to architecture, infrastructure, and security questions
- Address hardware specifications, networking requirements, and storage sizing
- Interact with IBM Technical Support and IBM Technical Sales to verify, discuss, and close issues
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the respective application domain and support line
- Experience installing, configuring, deploying, administering, and monitoring IBM API Connect in Cloud and On Prem VMs
- Experience monitoring IBM API Connect environment health, performance, and API availability
- Experience participating in and leading incident resolution calls and root cause analysis
- Experience analyzing logs within IBM API Connect
- Experience configuring and implementing backup and restoration of IBM API Connect subsystems and configuration data
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying APIs in IBM API Connect
- Experience using API Management Portal to manage API lifecycles across multiple API Catalogs
- Experience with consumer maintenance, including creating users, groups, roles, and security configurations
- Experience modifying IBM API Connect Developer Portal configuration, Drupal themes, and content
- Experience enabling third-party tools such as Elastic for analytics events and customer dashboards
- Splunk expertise, including advanced search query construction, monitoring, and alerting setup
- Experience configuring IBM API Connect security using TLS Profiles and native OAuth2 mechanisms
- Experience applying product maintenance patches, interim releases, and upgrades
- Experience delivering technical architecture information and supporting technical discovery sessions
- Knowledge of hardware specifications, networking requirements, and storage sizing for IBM API Connect
- Experience interacting with IBM Technical Support and IBM Technical Sales
- Ability to complete all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, functionality, testing, and support
