Job Description

Associate Medical Writer creating neuroscience publications and scientific content for BOLDSCIENCE, a medical communications agency. Supporting slide decks, manuscripts, digital materials, and meeting materials while developing expertise across therapy areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop content outlines and drafts for slide decks, digital materials, manuscripts and congress publications, and meeting materials under senior supervision
  • Produce well-researched, technically accurate, well-written, and presentable materials
  • Adapt writing and communication style to target audiences
  • Ensure materials meet project briefs, deadlines, and in-house quality standards
  • Volunteer for accurate data checking in line with BOLD processes
  • Develop visual PowerPoint presentations
  • Incorporate feedback accurately into current and future work
  • Research scientific articles and develop knowledge across therapy areas and client accounts
  • Learn Medical Communications, healthcare community, pharmaceutical industry, and BOLDSCIENCE processes
  • Learn internal quality control processes, including internal reviews
  • Manage and prioritize time across multiple projects
  • Contribute to internal status calls and keep teams updated on actions
  • Problem solve, drive results, and seek senior support when needed
  • Collaborate with client services, creative, and the wider BOLD team
  • Meet deadlines and alert senior scientific team members about progress or delays
  • Complete timesheets accurately and promptly
  • Maintain average billability of 85–90%

Requirements:

  • Higher degree in a relevant subject (PhD, MD, PharmD, etc.)
  • Writing experience through a higher degree or other activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate with senior leaders
  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for trying and learning new skills
  • Curious mindset and eagerness to develop scientific expertise across a range of therapy areas
