Job Description
Associate Principal Engineer focusing on SAP Spend Management, leading supplier enablement and VMS implementations at Nagarro.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analysing the client’s needs in the context of the project
- Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to realize it
- Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets
- Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
- Leading/supporting UAT and production roll outs
- Creating, understanding, and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and justifying it
- Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
- Giving constructive feedback to team members and setting clear expectations
- Helping the team troubleshoot and resolving complex bugs
- Coming up with solutions to any issue raised during code/design review and justifying decisions taken
- Carrying out POCs to ensure suggested design/technologies meet requirements.
Requirements:
- Total experience: 9+ years
- 5+ years experience in supplier enablement, vendor management, procurement transformation, or VMS/ERP implementation
- Experience supporting system rollouts or large-scale change initiatives across multiple geographies
- Strong understanding of contingent workforce or services procurement processes
- Hands on experience working with VMS platforms (e.g., Fieldglass, Beeline, SAP, Coupa, Ariba, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage supplier onboarding, compliance validation, and integration activities
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and cross-functional global teams
- Strong project management skills to manage timelines, risks, and dependencies
- Ability to translate complex system and process changes into clear, supplier-friendly messaging
- Lead supplier onboarding and enablement across large, diverse vendor populations
- Design and execute wave-based rollout plans with strong governance and tracking
- Drive adoption of new technology platforms (e.g., VMS, ERP, procurement tools)
- Manage multiple stakeholders across HR, Procurement, IT, and external partners
- Identify friction points in supplier processes and proactively resolving them
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and readiness reviews with confidence
- Use data and KPIs to monitor onboarding progress and escalate risks early
- Balancing structure and flexibility in a fast-paced transformation environment
- Communicate with clarity, credibility, and empathy especially when change is involved
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating training and enablement materials.
