Job Description
Behavioral Health Department Manager leading pediatric mental health teams and therapy for Blackbird Health. Supervising clinicians and delivering evidence-based care to children and families across Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for a behavioral health team while delivering clinical care to an individual patient caseload
- Supervise therapists and ensure quality standards are met
- Support staff development through training and ongoing education
- Support clinicians in achieving productivity goals
- Facilitate PTO coordination and resolve patient and family questions
- Oversee clinical operations across clinic locations, monitoring team performance and patient outcomes
- Build productive, high-quality therapist caseloads and provide ongoing clinical guidance
- Onboard therapists on the clinical model, evidence-based practices, and documentation standards
- Provide 20 clinical direct care hours per week
- Conduct biopsychosocial/diagnostic assessments and provide counseling and individualized treatment
- Monitor patient progress against care goals and adjust treatment plans
- Collaborate with PMHNPs, OT, and SLP providers on Integrated Treatment Plans
- Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress
- Develop pediatric practice partnerships for referrals and community engagement
- Collaborate on recruitment and retention efforts
Requirements:
- Must be an active PA LCSW qualified to provide clinical supervision
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a licensed therapist
- Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to children and/or adolescents
- Skilled in delivering effective psychotherapy across developmental stages and neurodiverse populations
- Schedule availability for evenings and weekends
- Ability to provide evidence-based psychotherapy, biopsychosocial/diagnostic assessments, counseling, and individualized treatment
- Ability to collaborate with PMHNPs, OT, SLP, families, outside specialists, HR, leadership, and pediatric practices
- Commitment to data-driven decision-making and maintaining thorough clinical records
