Job Description
Carbon Finance Associate responsible for financial modeling and project viability for NCS carbon projects. Collaborates with TNC’s Global Carbon Markets team to ensure equitable benefit sharing and project success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop financial models and financial viability assessments for NCS carbon projects.
- Support the Global Carbon Market’s technical team with feasibility studies and project design documentation.
- Develop FP&A tools for Carbon Markets Team, TNC business units and project partners.
- Support the development of equitable benefit sharing arrangements at the project level.
- Stay up to date on carbon markets trends.
- Travel and work flexible hours, as needed.
- Act independently within broad program goals to prioritize tasks and exercise independent judgment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 4 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience in project finance, with advanced financial modelling skills.
- Strong critical thinking, research, and analysis skills.
- Proven ability to assess a large set of opportunities and distill complex issues into strategic decisions.
- Fluency in English and excellent written and oral communication skills.
