Job Description
Civil Project Engineer designing steel piles, connections, and concrete slabs for renewable-energy projects at Timmons Group. Supporting scopes, budgets, project management, and proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Design steel piles and steel connections for a variety of structural applications
- Develop cast-in-place concrete slab designs
- Apply knowledge of renewable energy systems and terminology to structural design
- Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Support project and task management activities
- Contribute to marketing efforts and proposal development
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in solar structure design
- PE License is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in structural design software, especially LPile, Mathcad, and Excel
- Experience using AutoCAD for plan development
- Familiarity with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability for creating pile plot plans is a plus
- Ability to work at a dynamic pace
