Job Description

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer building secure, scalable Kubernetes and IaC platforms for Radiance Technologies’ DoD modeling and simulation programs. Supporting cloud-enabled national security solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Ansible, and Pulumi.
  • Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Helm charts for complex applications and services.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring for scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement best practices.
  • Ensure secure, resilient environments aligned with DoD and Zero Trust principles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across multiple environments.
  • Integrate with the platform engineering team to advance Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Support development and deployment of a next-generation modeling and simulation framework for the Department of Defense.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related field.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong containerization experience (Docker, Podman, CRI-O, or similar.).
  • Scripting experience for automation and operational tasks (Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar.).
  • Strong hands-on experience administering and securing Kubernetes environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience securing and maintaining Helm charts.
  • Proficiency with Git and Git-based workflows.
  • Strong Linux/SELinux system administration background.
  • Experience working with system context and security context configurations.
  • Experience working with container sockets and understanding the related security implications.
  • Familiarity with DoD security practices and hardened Linux distributions.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers.
