Job Description
Commercial Contracts Manager at Genesys, supporting contracts for its AI-powered customer experience platform. Negotiating agreements, managing risk, and improving North America contracting operations.
Responsibilities:
- Own the intake, triage, and prioritization of commercial legal requests
- Review, negotiate, and finalize routine commercial agreements, including NDAs, order forms, amendments, and low to moderate risk customer contracts
- Drive adoption of standard templates and playbooks
- Identify contractual risks and implement solutions balancing business goals with legal and compliance requirements
- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Privacy, Security, Legal, procurement, finance, and business stakeholders across North America and globally
- Improve contracting workflows, templates, guidance notes, and self-service tools
- Escalate complex or non-standard issues to legal counsel while resolving routine and moderately complex matters independently
- Track contract lifecycle metrics, support reporting, and contribute to process improvements
- Serve as a primary point of contact for business stakeholders throughout the contracting process
- Support contract administration, intake management, approvals, matter tracking, and reporting
- Support regional commercial legal projects, including process improvements, contract remediation, policy rollouts, and cross-functional initiatives
Requirements:
- University degree in Business Administration, Law, Legal or Paralegal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in contract management, commercial contracting, legal operations, procurement, in-house legal support, or a related legal function
- Advanced-level proficiency in spoken and written English
- Demonstrated experience with MSAs, SaaS agreements, SOWs, NDAs, amendments, and RFPs
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements using established templates and playbooks
- Experience managing multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Working knowledge of contract law principles, commercial terms, and risk mitigation
- Familiarity with privacy, information security, and regulatory requirements affecting commercial contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment, with ability to escalate complex legal issues appropriately
- Preferred: experience using CLM systems, document management tools, and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
